Single vehicle high speed crash involving a "P" plate driver losing control and hitting a tree.
7 SES Volunteers used hydraulic tools to extricate 1 seriously injured front seat passenger and assist with loading patient to ambulance then to Air Ambulance Helicopter.

2 car Crash, 5 patients, and 1 trapped. working with Ambulance the patient was stabilised before SES crews removed the Drivers side of the car to extricate the front seat passenger owing to the impact damage and patients position. Patient was transferred to Air 495 where SES crews again assisted to load the patient into the aircraft. This event was filmed by the crew from "Medical Emergency" and may appear later this year on the show.

Report of a hot Air Balloon down on power lines. Further information revealed Balloon was indeed down near lines, but not in difficulty, and balloon pilot had situation under control. No SES action taken

Aircraft Crash

Several reports to Police of a strobing light seen to fall vertically from the sky into paddocks south of
Yarra Glen, and was believed to be an aircraft crashing. After an hour of searching by SES, Police, CFA
and Police Air Wing, nothing was found

Road Rescue: Launching Place

Called to support Wandin CFA Rescue at a 2 car head on crash, with 4 persons reported trapped
and car on fire. En Route, confirmed 2 person trapped in 2 separate vehicles, and Wandin requested
Lilydale SES to attend to release patient from second car. Lilydale used Hydraulic Rescue equipment
to remove the roof, lift the dash and cut the steering wheel, before removing the casualty in conjunction
with Paramedics.

Turns out car had been there for almost 2 days. Cancelled by Police before arrival

2 car head on. Wandin CFA Rescue had already been responded to this call and were on scene when
Lilydale SES arrived. Lilydale assisted Wandin to release the trapped driver, before he was airlifted
to Hospital, where he later died

Off duty paramedic came across a Crash involving an elderly lady who was trapped in her car.
Lilydale SES was the first emergency Service on scene, and worked with Paramedics to release the
patient from her car. The driver suffered spinal injuries, and was transported to hosptial

Lilydale SES responded to a report of persons trapped in a Motor vehicle crash, after an
unlicensed driver with 3 passengers left a wet road and struck a street light pole, snapping
the pole off a the base and creating an additional hazard for emergency crews, a long hanging
Live power line, directly over the car, with a person still inside. Lilydale SES crews provided
First Aid and assisted MAS crews with patient handling
